Dr Dyasi graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Chemistry and biochemistry. He also obtained his Honours degree from the University of Fort Hare. Dr Dyasi pursued further studies in America and obtained a Master of Science degree from Central Washington University and his doctoral degree (PhD) from the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

Dr Dyasi has broad experience in the private sector in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. He also has experience in academia where he served as a Campus Principal and Deputy Vice-chancellor at MEDUNSA. He also served as a Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at Onderstepoort Biological Products (OBP).

In his career, Dr Dyasi has extensive experience as a member of the Board of Directors for both public sector and Private Sector Companies. He served as a Non-Executive Director of OBP from 2000 to 2005.

He also served as the Vice President of the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) for 5 years.

Dr Dyasi served as a Non-Executive Director of a JSE-listed company, Rolfes Chemicals, from 2014 to 2020. In 2021 he also served as a Non-Executive Director at Joburg Market, an entity of the City of Johannesburg.

Dr Dyasi has expertise in serving on various Board Committees including REMCO, Audit and Risk, Human Resources and Operations Committee.

Dr Dyasi has been serving as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo since 11 February 2022.
